31 Day Challenge - Day 29: Supernatural

Wooh! I must admit I'm a little releived that the challenge month is almost over... even as I contemplate NaNoWriMo. Anyhoo...

Supernatural-- I didn't plan this out too much, and yet I think it worked out really well!

For this challenge theme I knew I wanted to use Cult Nails Mind Control for sure, but I didn't know what pair with with.   Looking thru my helmer this glitter stood out and when I read the name, I knew it was a match made in thematic heaven. ;-)

The combination of overt-blingy glitter and micro-shimmer is just sooooooo pretty! ♥ ♥ ♥ 

31 Day Challenge - Day 5: blue

Hello everyone!

Today's challenge post theme is: "A Tale of Two Doctor Blues - Untrieds Edition".   

An integral part of my utter geeky-nerdiness is that I love Doctor Who.  (Stats: My doctor is Nine. ♥ ♥ ♥  I'm very, very fond of Ten and I have yet to embrace Eleven. I know, I know.)  So at one point a twitter convo turned to "the perfect T.A.R.D.I.S. blue polish".  I went on an all out google image search.  Fans refered to many, many colors as "their T.A.R.D.I.S. blue". In the midst, two colors stood out for me: Cult Nails Time Traveler and Nails Inc Baker Street.  One lucky summer and a third happy swap from the UK with Elanor and I now own both of those.  Have a look...

NOTD - The Indie Avenger: LOKI

When it comes right down to it, a fangirl could say that's just what Loki is: he's not really a bad guy, he's just an indie! He's so much a part of the group, he-he's practically an Avenger. (Wouldn't that be something. ;-)  

This where Kawaii Nail Lacquer comes in.  For her first collection Jamie Constantino chose The Avengers as her inspiration, creating seven polishes: Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Loki.  Much to my inner fangirl's joy, she did not leave out my favorite character of the series.
