NOTD: It's mauvelous, darling

Hi!

It may not be popular but, I love me a good "mom color" every once in a while.  For me it doesn't have to be dark/edgy/radical all the time.  When I'm craving a delicate look on my nail, those traditional colors really fit the bill.

A couple week ago such a craving was fulfilled for me by L'Oreal Mauvelous, with an assist by Essie's A Cut Above:

[ Bad cellphone piccie-- sorry ]

My local grocery store dumped a lot of L'Oreal polishes into the clearance bin, and that's where I found Mauvelous.  It was hanging out with a sweet, baby-ballerina pink (How Romantic) and a shimmery, happy yellow (Tweet me).

Mauvelous look rather pinker in real life, while A Cut Above looks less pink-- if that makes sense.  Al in all, both colors work together beautifully to create a clean, lady-like look.

P.S. Yes, my Mom really likes Mauvelous.  She's so totally going to borrow it for sure.  ;-)

    1. I do too! And that they're in a clear base, that shows off the size differences better. =)
